The Beauty Pawlour Grooming Services

    The Beauty Pawlour Grooming Services

  • Ears Ears will be cleaned and made clear of hair to allow air flow
    and avoid ear infections.
  • Nails Nails will be trimmed if required to avoid ingrown nails which
can be quite painful and can cause infection.
  • De-Mat It is impossible to get your dog thoroughly clean or styled properly unless every knot and tangle is removed from it’s coat. This may take from a few minutes to several hours. Every dog will be completely tangle-free before leaving the salon.
  • Anal Glands Some dogs have difficulty emptying their anal glands. Anal glands will be expressed to avoid any discomfort.
  • Check for Fleas/Ticks/Skin Problems: If fleas or ticks are discovered they will be eliminated using a special insecticidal shampoo. You must note that this does not prevent further infection. Flea treatments will be available from your local veterinary clinic. Your dog will be checked for any skin problems. If any are found, you will be notified and a special teatree shampoo will be used to avoid any further irritation. If your dog has been prescribed medicated shampoo, please bring it along.
  • Bath Every dog will have two warm washes to ensure they are gleaming by the end of their visit!
  • Dry All dogs are hand dried and fluff dried if necessary.
  • Trim When arriving at “The Beauty Pawlour” Koren will assess your dog and discuss which trim is most suited to your dog and it’s lifestyle. Your dog can be trimmed to the breed standard or various other styles if required.
  • De-shedding For all those short haired breeds, Koren has special tools to remove any undercoat your dog might be shedding around the house. Shedding can be de-creased by up to 70% but unfortunately cannot be prevented altogether.
  • Health Check During your dog’s visit, Koren will check for any unusual lumps or bumps that may need veterinary attention and will also assess the condition of your dog’s teeth.

    Before Your Visit

  • Please ensure that your dog has had a good walk before-hand. The less energy your dog has the more likely it is that they will relax and enjoy themselves. This also gives your dog a chance to go to the toilet and avoids your dog having to be washed repeatedly if there are any unfortunate accidents!
  • Please ensure your dog’s collar has been secured properly for obvious safety reasons.
  • It is advised that you book your appointments well in advance to avoid disappointment, especially during the summer months.
  • Please note that Koren does not believe in sedating dogs for grooming. She thinks that gentle handling and patience is all that is needed.
